Wilderness Helicopters was founded in 1995 by Blair Mills, Peter Moore and Trevor Laing.  Located in Wawa, Ontario at the Northeast corner of Lake Superior, we are centrally located for work anywhere in Northern Ontario.  The fleet began with a Jet Ranger in 1995, then added a Long Ranger -LR in 1998.  A Long Ranger -L3 was added in the spring of 2000 and a full-time base was opened in Marathon, Ontario.  In the summer of 2002, Wilderness acquired another Jet Ranger and a base in Chapleau.  2003 saw the company add a Long Ranger -L1, sell one Jet Ranger and then convert the L1 Longranger to a more powerful L3 model.  In the spring of 2004, Wilderness sold the original Jet Ranger and the company moved into an all Long Ranger Fleet.  A fourth Long Ranger -L3 model was added in the summer of 2004 bringing the total to 4 Long Rangers.
